Tarunjit Singh Butalia, Ph.D., is a distinguished professor at Ohio State University, recognized for expertise in sustainable infrastructure, construction materials, and environmental engineering. His research focuses on innovative and eco-friendly materials, including coal combustion by-products and recycled resources, to advance sustainable construction and pavement engineering.
Professor Butalia has led high-impact projects in collaboration with government agencies, industry, and academic institutions in the United States. His work has influenced engineering standards and policy development while promoting cost-effective and sustainable reuse of industrial by-products. He also actively mentors graduate and doctoral students.
