Muhammad Ali Imran, Ph.D., is a distinguished Professor of Communication Systems at the University of Glasgow and a globally recognized leader in wireless communications, 5G/6G technologies, and digital connectivity. His research focuses on next-generation wireless networks, energy-efficient communication systems, and intelligent connectivity solutions, with significant contributions to modern telecommunications infrastructure.
Professor Imran has led major international research initiatives and secured multi-million-pound funding through collaborations with organizations including Huawei, Telefonica, and IBM. A prolific scholar and inventor, he has authored high-impact publications, holds multiple patents, and continues to shape global telecommunications and engineering education through research leadership and mentoring.
