Mudassar Awan, Ph.D., is a distinguished academic and researcher specializing in counter-terrorism, Islamic studies, and peacebuilding. With a doctoral degree from the University of Vienna, his research focuses on counter-terrorism narratives, religious non-violence, human rights in Islam, and the ideological dimensions of extremism. His multidisciplinary background includes Islamic theology and human resource management, enabling both scholarly and applied perspectives on complex socio-religious issues.
Dr. Awan has held academic positions at institutions such as COMSATS University Islamabad and has been involved with international organizations including the Universal Peace Federation and Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light. He has contributed to publications, conferences, and policy discussions on counter-terrorism, interfaith dialogue, and peace education, including engagement with United Nations platforms in Vienna.
