Laurence Lecuyer, Ph.D., is a distinguished scholar of social and cultural anthropology specializing in South Asian societies, religion, and identity formation. She serves as an Assistant Professor at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales in France, where her teaching and research examine intersections of culture, religion, and social structures across comparative contexts.
Dr. Lecuyer has conducted extensive fieldwork in South Asia, North Africa, and Europe. Her work includes research on veiling practices, Sufi traditions, Sikh identity, migration, mysticism, interfaith interactions, and religious identity formation. Through publications, conferences, and teaching, she contributes significantly to global anthropological discourse and cross-cultural understanding.
